this is for waypoints
this system was developed and tested on the Joe-Hates-Sub-Sim-Test branch, which i never pushed to gh
this will make merging this branch into main later easy :)
this doesn't belong in a branch about waypoints but I finally got fed up seeing red in the `git status` output
pretty sure this was a typo
