Project Goal

As I mentioned during the presentation, the goal of this project shifted partway through. The original goal was to resolve CSLib issue #308. You can see my pull request for that here. I made a good start toward this goal, but unfortunately because CSLib uses #grind_lint to check the quality of their grind annotations, and #grind_lint is not yet compatible with grind attributes (which are central to my PR), I was forced to pivot. Inspired by this issue, I decided that I would make the new goal of my project to implement #grind_attr_lint, a version of #grind_lint that works for grind attributes (rather than just for theorems annotated directly with @[grind]).

What's in the Repo

The first part of the project (the part that was a CSLib PR) isn't in this repo. The main attraction in this repo is the GrindAttrLint folder, which has all my work on #grind_attr_lint. A lot of the code is copy-pasted from Lean's own #grind_lint code, most of the work of this project was in understanding that code and metaprogramming in general to the point that I could make changes to it. Along the way I produced a #print_attr tactic, which lives in PrintAttr.

Future Work

I would like to build #grind_attr_lint skip and #grind_attr_lint mute (analagous to their #grind_lint counterparts), and then hopefully add this to my pull request to CSLib so that my other changes can be accepted.
