This folder contains pages from the v1.1/Factorio 1.x era wiki that have been archived during the v2.0 restructuring.
All original wiki chapters (Chapter-1 through Chapter-29) written for Factorio Access v0.15 and earlier. These chapters provided comprehensive tutorial-style coverage of the game but are now outdated due to:
- Controls completely redesigned in v2.0
- UI overhaul
- New in-game tutorial serving as primary learning resource
- Wiki role shifted to supplementary information
These chapters remain valuable as:
- Reference material for extracting game mechanic explanations
- Examples and tips that can be adapted for v2.0
- Historical record of wiki development
- Known-Bugs.md - Now tracked in GitHub Issues
- Planned-Features.md - Now tracked in GitHub Issues
- Issue-Reporting-Guide.md - Belongs in main repo README
- Info-for-Contributors.md - Replaced by new Contributing.md wiki page
- Demo-Maps.md - Old demo maps not updated for v2.0
- Wiki-Navigation.md - Replaced by new Navigation.md structure
- Factorio-Access-Unique-Features.md - Was just a redirect, no substantial content
When writing new wiki pages, these archived chapters can be used as reference:
- Extract well-written explanations of game mechanics
- Adapt examples and tips for v2.0
- Identify missing topics that should be covered
Do not copy v1.1 control instructions directly - all controls have changed in v2.0.
