This release contains a major new version of the small RNA pipeline. Major changes are as follows:

  • Totally new config file setup to make easier to use
  • New trimming strategy implemented
  • Fixes to issues when the pipeline plots small RNA charts
  • sort and targetid now output results by length and first base as well to make downsteam analysis easier
  • New optional enrich option in targetid to create lists of GO terms, KEGG pathways and PFams from targets
  • Documentation is now web based, availible at: https://vicky-hunt-lab.github.io/HuntLab-smallRNA/latest
  • Apptainer and Docker containers now supported as installation methods with included Dockerfile
  • Build system migrated from distutils to hatchling for a more modern experience
  • Number of other smaller bug fixes and efficency improvements
