Report Amendment

In exceptional cases, data providers may have to make changes to data confirmed in the EFSA Scientific Data Warehouse already in status Accepted DWH. For these cases, there is the option Amend in the TSE reporting tool.

The Amend button allows the data provider to correct data which were already in status Accepted DWH.

After clicking the Amend button, the user (1) updates the existing records that need to be changed and then proceeds with the steps of (2) checking, (3) sending and (4) submitting. More details are given later in the corresponding sections.

Every time a report or multiple reports are amended, the tool creates a new version of the report and automatically sends and uploads into the DCF only the amended records via a new dataset. The dataset with the changes implemented should be submitted and accepted via the MicroStrategy platform in order to reach the status Accepted DWH.

• Please note that single or multiple reports can be submitted for amendment only via the menu File -> Submit report amendments.

• Please note that if the first amended single or multiple reports do not reach the status ‘Accepted in DWH’, you cannot proceed with a second round of amendments (e.g., amendments were performed and sent for July, August, September and by accident October was not included when it should have beenn).

  • User selects File -> Open report -> Report A

    1. User clicks on Amend button
    2. User performs changes
    3. User clicks on Check button
       • If no errors, then TSE will disable Send and Submit buttons
       • If errors are found, then the user must fix the errors before proceeding
    4. User closes the report via File -> Close report

  • User selects File -> Open report -> Report B

    • Performs steps 1-4 of previous bullet

  • User selects File -> Submit report amendments

    • TSE tool displays the list of data collections with amended reports (Figure 2)

    • User selects a data collection

      • For the selected data collection the TSE tool will display all the reports with amended records (Figure 3) and aggregate them to a new report which will be sent to DCF.

    • From then on, the user can proceed with the steps of sending and submitting a report as explained in the corresponding sections.
