Map Crawled Property

Before you are able to map a crawled property to a search managed property, you must use the tool and set custom search property first. You select the option to reindex the site on the next crawl through the site's search settings.

1. Search Settings

If you plan on using the search property, you must configure it in the admin center. Click on Search from the More Features menu.

2. Manage Search Schema

Select the first option Manage Search Schema.

3. Search Refinable String

Enter RefinableString in the managed property to filter them.

4. Select Managed Property

Microsoft Purview features can only utilize 0 to 99, so select a property between this range. Ensure the property selected doesn't already have a crawled property assigned to it.

5. Add Mapping

Scroll down to the bottom, and select the Add a Mapping for the selected managed property.

Select Crawled Property

Search for you custom search property, select it and click on OK.

Save Settings

Scroll down to the bottom and verify that the selected crawled property is listed. Click on OK to save the settings.
